During rain storms, sewage systems are often flooded and overflows, the manholes covers rise up, inspection manholes in road open up and endanger the surroundings. The reason for these problems is the existence of prohibited connections (according to the water law and its regulations) between sewage to drainage systems.
Such intersections can be tested by performing smoke tests.
Further advantages of the test:
The test is performed by insertion of harmless smoke into the sewage system by bellows. The smoke is dispersed in the system to a distance of a few hundred meters and leaves the system from every opening of the line, including drainpipes, drainage receptors and breaks in the pipeline and manhole connections to the surface.
